Foiano della Chiana is also called “The City of Carnival”. Now in its 481th edition, this event captivates the whole village and its people that feels strongly this event and takes part in it with a folkloristic passion.
That’s why we decided to mobilize you to come here for living the experience of this Carnival.
Entertainment is granted for young and old.

Schedule

SATURDAY:

Arrival and check in at the accommodation
Evening: wine or olive oil tasting in a company of Valdichiana. You will visit the location for knowing procedures and realization of the product. Will follow the tasting. (Visit not included in the base price)
Dinner in a restaurant of the town centre

SUNDAY:

Morning: guided tour of Foiano della Chiana
Lunch in a typical trattoria of the hamlet
Evening at Carnival to enjoy the huge papier-mâché floats that will pass through the allies of the village moved up to evocative masquerade proposed by every float
05:00 p.m. Unforgettable “Scoriandolata” (huge confetti throw)
