Easter is an event celebrated in many countries of the world but in Italy is an holiday lived with a lot of enthusiasm above all in some hamlet as the one of Foiano della Chiana in the province of Arezzo.
In this wonderful village, Easter means good food, socialization, carefreeness but first of all means “Il Volo”. Il Volo is an event that takes place in Collegiata church, the biggest of the village, at the stroke of midnight of Holy Saturday. Any inhabitant of the area could lose that moment, believer or not, because it’s a ritual that gathers sacred and profane, traditions and legends together.   • Cooking class of ciambellini and ciacciola (ciambellino is hailing from Foiano and ciacciola is one of the typical Easter product that is cooked just for this holiday)
  • Lunch with typical Tuscan products
  • Wine tour
  • Dinner in a well-know restaurant of Valdichiana
  • At midnight: “Il Volo” at Collegiata church

21/04/2019:

  • Easter breakfast (capocollo, eggs, ciacciola…)
  • Visit of Cortona
  • Easter lunch in a special restaurant

  • Happy hour at the end of the visit
